Although I have owned several traditional businesses (service and retail) for the last 20 years, I have come to realize that one of the easiest and most profitable small business that kids (& families) can start is an online business. I know of precious few other businesses that can be started with the following characteristics:
-You don’t need to go into debt to get started. You don’t have to go into debt to create a powerful online business. Debt is the main reason that most American businesses fail – a perfect reason to avoid it!
-You can start small. You don’t need ten employees and a huge office/warehouse complex. Everything you need is at your fingertips.
-Spend more time with your family. Working together on a family business lets you spend time together, while teaching your children valuable lessons for a lifetime of entrepreneurial success.
-Save your money. Family businesses don’t require a lot of capital to get started. The rewards are fantastic!
-Low investment of your time. Nuff said!
-Generate passive income. Again, I can’t start creating wealth until my passive income exceeds my monthly expenses. For a great discussion on this concept, read Rich Dad, Poor Dad. I want to earn money when I sleep (or while I’m on vacation!).
-Enjoy a low-risk opportunity to create wealth. You’re not investing a lot of cash to get started, so all profits are yours alone. You really can make amazing profits with your online business, and I’ll show you how.
