Coupons from eBay sent by email are a rare site indeed, and only a few will ever get them. However, if you are lucky enough to get one, then you can use it towards items you purchase on eBay, with the qualifying condition that you use PayPal and they you are in Canada, UK or the United States.
There are two ways to get eBay coupons.
One – you can just wait for an email.
But you will probably be waiting a long time for this to happen. You have to do something to make yourself look like the kind of person eBay would want to tempt back with a coupon. You might find you have better luck if you use a more obscure search engine, where people haven’t taken the trouble to get the results.
However, if you do not want to use a search engine, then you can also search out and community forums you visit to see is someone has posted one. People that use eBay’s own forum at: http://hub.ebay.com/community; will usually have the best chance of getting one. Chatting with regulars in this forum can be fun and insightful as well, and it’s an easy way to find out about special offers.
Redeeming Coupons, Which Way is Best?
A valid coupon basically will have a rather long bar code on it. All you need to do, is pay with PayPal as usual for the item you want and use the coupon towards it. Once in PayPal, you will notice in the webpage header a tab that you can use for: Coupons, Gift Certificates and eBay Anything Points. Select that field and type in the coupon code, if the code is really long you can use the copy and paste function to make sure you don’t miss a number. Then click on ’Redeem’ and your all set!
Don’t worry about causing problems for sellers by doing this, as eBay just pays them for the item as usual. eBay’s uses coupons as a marketing tacit to attract more customers to using them, which will likely increase the amount of auction bids on items.
