Google Adsense Has Lost Its Edge
Why would anyone say that Google Adsense is dead? It’s not, but it took a wrong turn down a dirt road the other day when they announced that they would stop showing Google Adsense Ads on millions of websites.
In the advertising world they would call this a monumental blunder. An over asessment of worth and value in the marketplace. Google believes they can cast out Publishers of their ads automaticaly without hurting anyone’s feelings. Anyone who counts, that is.
Publishers with website content which is not unique or does not meet the Google “standard” will be automatically dropped. Google is being careful they say, but many site owners have already been dropped after making Google thousands upon thousands of dollars.
The Spider is Googling the sites and making the choice for them. Obviously the Pagerank, link popularity and oher normal Goolge factors are going into the calculations. This effectively takes away this means of internet advertising for small businesses.
Google Adsense is now dead for most small site publishers. If you have found that Google Adsense Ads have not been showing on your site or that Public Service Ads are now a staple for your site, you now know why.
Microsoft Adcenter and Yahoo Network Ads will undoubtedly jump on this and attempt to take advantage of Google’s mistake. Adbrite is another powerfull contender in the ad market Google will now lose. Take advantage of the profits you can get from Google now, but in the next few months, dollars will turn to pennies as Google takes more for their shot at world domaination.
